Project Name

Intensive Program

Our Intensive Program is designed for dancers who are ready for a more focused and committed training experience while still being supported in a positive, encouraging, and family-centered environment.

At Take 5 Dance, our intensive dancers train in separate, dedicated classes designed specifically for their level, age, and goals. This allows dancers to receive more focused instruction, appropriate pacing, and choreography that supports both their technical growth and performance development.

We believe strong dancers are built through strong training. That is why all required technique classes are included in our intensive program pricing, ensuring dancers receive the full training they need without families having to add on essential classes separately. Our program is structured to support well-rounded development in technique, strength, artistry, confidence, and teamwork.

We also believe in transparency and simplicity for our families. Our intensive program offers clear, packaged pricing, so you know exactly what is included in your dancer’s training, without unexpected add-ons for required classes or choreography fees.

Each intensive dancer is given the opportunity to grow in a program that values progress over pressure, training with purpose, and a healthy, supportive team culture. While our dancers do attend competitions and performances, our focus is on building confident, capable dancers who feel inspired, challenged, and connected.

Primary Intensive Program

Our introductory program will consist of separate technique classes in the jazz, ballet, and acro dance styles. They will then additionally learn 1-3 competitive group routines. Your dancer will no longer be required to participate in our classic recreational program unless they wish to add other styles of dance to their learning (for example hip hop or musical theatre).

In total, your dancer will attend the studio one - two times per week, approximately 3-4 hours in total.

Lite Intensive Program

Our lite program will offer classic program dancers who are looking for a bit more of a challenge, the opportunity of intensive training without the demand of a full-time program. Our lite program consists of separate technique classes in the jazz, tap, ballet, and a stretch & strength class with the option of adding on an acro class. They will then additionally learn 2 competitive group routines. Your dancer will no longer be required to participate in our classic recreational program unless they wish to add other styles of dance to their learning (for example hip hop or musical theatre).

In total, your dancer will attend the studio two times per week, approximately 5-6 hours in total

Elite Intensive Program

Our elite full-time program is ideal for the dancer who wishes to pursue dance as their main extra-curricular activity/sport.

Elite team members will train approximately 3 days a week with a minimum of 8 hours per week. The requirement for this program is graded ballet, Stretch & Technique, Jumps & Turns and Jazz, along with the corresponding choreography/technique classes. Exam participation is mandatory in certain styles. All dancers must participate in both jazz, tap, and ballet (if offered) as a minimum entry into our elite program. All routines above these styles will be by selection entry only and must be taken in order of studio staff preference.

In total, your dancer will attend the studio two-three times per week, approximately 10 hours+

Our Approach

Unlike traditional audition-based programs, we do not require auditions. Instead, we invite interested dancers to join a few classes to experience our studio’s atmosphere and expectations. Our number one priority is a strong work ethic and commitment — we value dedication over perfection.

Understanding that dancers have school, jobs, and other extracurriculars, our hybrid program model is designed to provide intensive training while allowing for balance in their lives. At Take 5, we believe that dancers can pursue their passion without sacrificing family time, education, or other interests.

What Makes Our Intensive Program Different

Separate, dedicated classes:  Our intensive dancers train in classes created specifically for intensive students, rather than blending training into recreational programming. This allows for stronger consistency, better progression, and a more focused learning environment.

Required technique classes are included:  All mandatory technique classes are built into our intensive tuition, so dancers receive the training they need as part of their program.

Well-rounded training:  Dancers develop through a combination of technique, choreography, conditioning, performance experience, and team connection.

Age-appropriate and level-appropriate placement:  We are committed to placing dancers where they will be supported, challenged, and able to thrive.

A supportive team environment:  We value kindness, respect, growth, and teamwork just as much as strong technique and performance.

Our Focus

Our intensive program is for dancers who are ready to make a stronger commitment to their training and to their team. Dancers are expected to come prepared, work hard, support one another, and take pride in their progress throughout the season.

At Take 5 Dance, intensive training is about more than competitions. It is about building confidence, discipline, resilience, artistry, and a true love for dance in an environment that feels like home.
